Alyx was born and raised on the beautiful Gulf Coast in Pensacola, Florida. As fate would have it, she happened upon Annie (yes, the 1982 movie starring Carol Burnett) on TV when she was three years old and the rest is history. Alyx also credits her love of theatre and passion for the arts to the wonderful community in Pensacola. Due to being surrounded by music, dance, community theatre, and brilliant, passionate artists for her entire upbringing, it only fueled the fire to make it a lifelong career.
After four years at Booker T. Washington High School, where Alyx was drama troupe president and starred in over a dozen productions, she had her sights set on receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Alyx chose to be a Knight at the University of Central Florida (Charge On!) and graduated a semester early with her degree. She packed her bags a month later and made the big move to New York at the beginning of 2018. Since graduation, Alyx has been seen onstage at the Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH as Sandy Dumbrowski in Grease and at the Bigfork Summer Playhouse (for her second season!) in Bigfork, MT in Singing in the Rain, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, All Shook Up, and Into the Woods.
However, this year, Alyx is setting out on her biggest adventure yet! Alyx will be onboard the Oceania Sirena performing as a production vocalist. Traveling has been a huge passion for Alyx and being able to see some of the most beautiful places in the world: Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, and Brazil (to name a few!) is a dream come true. Alyx thanks Norwegian Creative Studios/Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. for this opportunity! Bon Voyage!
When she isn’t onstage, Alyx is NYC’s most accomplished temp and has a huge passion and love for her family and friends, and, most importantly, French bulldogs. In her free time, she can be found listening to her favorite podcasts (The Genius Life, Almost 30, The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show, and Rise/Rise Together), probably watching The Office for the 76th time, and figuring out how to work a frenchie into her budget. Alyx is so fortunate to be pursuing her passion and love for performing and she can't wait to see what’s next! Thank you for stopping by!
